Teach scuba diving for a living! The Instructor Course will fully prepare you to become an Open Water Scuba Instructor.This is a 10 day course plus a further 3 days of extra presentations that teaches you how to instruct recreational scuba diving and prepares you for your Instructor Exam. You sit the Instructor Exam directly after the Instructor Training Course. Once you have passed the IE, you are certified as an Open Water Scuba Instructor and able to teach Open Water, Advanced, Rescue and Divemaster students. You gain knowledge, skills and coaching techniques to teach effectively; The focus is on 'real world' application; Your performance is measured throughout the programme to assist you to improve your abilities; You are given an introduction to the business of diving, including economic, social, cultural, legal, governmental and environmental concerns as well as marketing and customer service. What do I need to start? You will need to have 100 logged dives and at least one year of elapsed time since Open Water certification to begin the course. Although you may have some or all of your own equipment, Big Blue provides all equipment, boat trips, manuals, etc., for the duration of the course. Am I fit to dive? How long will it take? Now what? Once you are a certified Instructor, you will want to continue your professional dive education by adding Specialty Courses and continuing up the ranks. |

What's involved?
You must be a Divemaster (or equivalent) and have a recognised CPR certification, such as the Emergency First Response, within the past two years.
