Fish and Ships!

Meet the Big Blue Fleet! From right to left, we have – Waverunner, Enzo, Banzai, and Big Blue (great name, I know). Spacious, thoughtfully designed and remodelled for divers, fantastic captains and crew, unmatched anywhere on the island.

If a dive center has one boat, even if that boat is the Calypso, with a mini-sub, gyrocopter and a research balloon, it still means we’re all going to the same dive site! Having 4 boats at our disposal means that we can dedicate one entire boat to cater for our fun divers, one for students, one for Tech Diving, and we still have one left over for our freedivers!

Upto 12 different dive sites a day.

Koh Tao has over 25 dive sites to choose from, and that’s just the well-known ones! Our Dive Masters will take our customers wherever the diving is best, East Side, West Side, Sail Rock, Sattakut Night dives, all of them. Not all of these sites are suitable for students, especially beginners, so we use another boat to visit sandy bays first, and then we move on gradually to progressively more advanced diving.

Big Blue Tech is booming, so much so that they get their own boat, too. This means they can explore the Gulf of Thailand, dive on existing wrecks, find new ones, take as long as they need and as long as they like. Tech bliss!

Freediving!

Finally, our freedivers don’t need much, no tanks, no compressors, just fins, mask, snorkel, some kind of fancy wetsuit, and then dive somewhere. They will often join the fun diving boat and the students. It’s incredible to see them when you’re scuba diving at 30m, languidly swimming past your group with a smile and a wave. Sometimes they will use their own boat, especially for some advanced progression and training, we’ve got them covered, too.
