How to get into Marine Conservation.

On our Marine Conservation course you will be amazed just how much you will learn in just one week.

The 1 week Marine Conservation Course

The internship program starts with an introduction into marine ecology and marine conservation with the SSI Marine ecology course. This three and a half-day course will cover topics such as our Ocean Environments and the impacts they face, aswell as Coral Reefs and the state of our coral reefs around Koh Tao. We will also look at Conservation methodology and Ecological principles in ensuring Koh Tao as a sustainable holiday destination with limited environmental impact.

The Eco Conservation Course will have classroom presentations combined with a total of 5 dives that will focus on identification skills, survey skills, and advanced buoyancy skills. On top of that we will also be going for additional dives during the week will also include a Marine animal observation night dive, a Practice survey dive, an Artificial reef introduction dive and an Artificial reef maintenance dive.

Scuba diving equipment rental, boat and tank fees, course certification fee, and eco pack are all included in the main cost for the program.

To participate in any of our Eco Marine Conservation Courses/Programs you must be an Advanced Open Water Diver or higher and have had scuba diving experience within the last 6 months.
