Peacock Sole
Scientific name Pardachirus pavoninus
Peacock Sole’s look more like flatworms than fish. They even move like flatfish. But look closely and you’ll see that it actually has eyes. Its body is oval-shaped and flat, with both of its eyes on the same side of its body. It lives in shallow coral reef areas and is often found sitting on the sand or apparently stuck to a rock or piece of coral.
Divemaster’s Tip: These are really difficult to find and are pretty rare. So no tip to offer here, except to keep your eyes open!
