We are soooooo excited to be announcing availability for our brand new Big Blue Similan Islands Liveaboard operating from our west coast dive center Big Blue Diving Khao Lak.
After a very busy low season we are finally ready to depart on our maiden voyage with guests. Today marks the day that Big Blue Diving Khao Lak will launch The MV Blue Dolphin. Last week was the final test trip, where Big Blue Staff and a few friends made the trip out to the Similan National Park. We were super lucky and 4 mins into our first dive we had a visit from a
giant manta ray at Koh Bon. What a way to start the Blue Dolphins new era.
The Big Dolphin is a 27 meter long liveaboard with 7 air-conditioned cabins with ensuite and shared bathrooms able to cater for upto 16 guests. We have a variety of cabins to suit all budgets. If you are a solo traveller, the easiest way is simply to join another guest in any of our main deck cabins. Alternatively email us to inquire about our super single occupancy rates, available on all cabins apart from the lower deck quad.
Built with a steel hull this boat has a spacious relaxation area, a large dive deck, and a dedicated camera area with crates for every diver, for the more avid photographers, there is a large camera table, covered in non slip matting with safe storage for your cameras and housings. There is also an enclosed area with tools, air gun, lubricants, o-rings. Being the newest boat around the Similan and Surin Islands this season we are already getting heaps of interest from our customers and our staff here in Koh Tao. In fact Andy is taking a group of our techies with him next week for a wonderful 4 day 4 night cruise to the Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai & Richelieu Rock- the best dive site in Thailand!
