Located just west of Koh Nang Yuan, this unique dual-site dive combines natural topography with artificial reef exploration in a single unforgettable descent. Starting around No Name Pinnacle — rising from roughly 30 meters to about 18 meters — it sits 15m east of the HTMS Suphairon, which rests upright on the seabed between approximately 20–30 meters.
Currents & Conditions
Expect classic offshore conditions with visibility often ranging from 15–30 meters. Mild to moderate currents can occur and are typically a welcome sign of strong fish activity. Water temperatures remain comfortably between 27–30°C, though thermoclines can occasionally make deeper sections feel cooler.
Underwater Landscape & Marine Life
This dive delivers the best of both worlds — a thriving granite pinnacle paired with a living wreck 15 meters off to the side. No Name Pinnacle is often surrounded by shimmering schools of fusiliers, with trevally, queenfish, and barracuda patrolling the edges. Large groupers hover close to the rock while soft corals and sponges add bursts of color. As the wreck emerges from the blue, the atmosphere shifts instantly. Now transformed into an artificial reef, the structure attracts dense schools of snapper and baitfish that gather above the deck, while moray eels, pufferfish, and scorpionfish claim shelter along the metal contours. Rays are occasionally seen gliding across the sand nearby. With fewer boats typically visiting this area, marine life often feels relaxed and undisturbed — making encounters here especially rewarding. It’s a dive that blends exploration, scale, and biodiversity into one seamless experience.
Skill Level & Certification
Advanced Open Water certification (or higher) is strongly recommended due to the depth profile. Divers with experience will gain the most from this site, particularly those interested in wrecks, schooling fish, and deeper blue-water diving.
Access & Logistics
Located just a short boat ride from Koh Tao, No Name is perfectly suited for a relaxed 2nd morning dive while still offering a dynamic dive experience. We meet at 7:20am and typically return by 12:30pm. We dive No Name Pinnacle and the Suphairon Wreck once, sometimes twice a week as a second dive on our way back from Chumphon Pinnacle. Conditions are generally favorable except from June to August when the Southeast windy & wavey monsoon kicks in.
