In addition to guiding certified divers, Divemasters get to assist on courses, work on dive boats and at dive resorts and teach snorkeling courses.

Our Divemaster Training is a combination of a structured two-week rotation of workshops and lectures, followed by a flexible schedule of course assists, dive guiding practice, and fun dives.
Our Divemasters in Training are guided and supported by our Instructor mentors. The mentors are always available to help out with your Divemaster Course, give you some one-on-one coaching, help you work through issues you may be having, and to organize social events.
We always have space available and you can start your Divemaster Training any time you’d like. Rotation starts once a month, one week after the full moon. But once you complete the orientation, you can head out and start fun diving for free!
Big Blue Diving Koh Tao will provide all scuba equipment for the duration of your Divemaster Training. But, if you have your own scuba equipment, you are welcome to use it.

Technical Diving has become quite popular over the last few years. Many of our Divemaster Trainees decide to spend some of their free time learning how to scuba dive with multi-tank gear configurations, how to dive on different enriched air nitrox mixes, and how to execute decompression dives.
In the Divemaster Technical Program, you’ll go through our Divemaster Training with all our other Divemaster candidates, but you’ll also complete the Technical Sidemount, Advanced Nitrox, and Decompression Procedures courses.
