The Life of an Underwater Videographer

The life of an underwater Videographer/ Photographer is an extremely busy one but the feeling of accomplishment & satisfaction is second to none.

The 9-5 of an underwater videographer.

Take for example the life of Bridget Parry, our in house Videographer/photographer who works for us at Big Blue Movies. Up at the crack of dawn to come out diving on the boat for 2 dives filming our Open Water students complete their final dives of their Open Water Course and grabbing snippets of footage of incredible & unexpected footage of marine life encounters & interraction within thei natural world. Then back to land to edit & compile the footage of the students shot complete with a selection of great music to enhance the video. Then it’s beers & pizza at the bar where the video get aired live on the big screen with an audience of always over 20 people including of course the students from the mornings video. Its an awesome way to end the course for the students who always love the videos & often end up buying them, and of course a beer or 2 more for Bridget, who then heads home after a long but massively enjoyable day at the office.

On other days Bridget will compile her marine footage for her own Photography Company Bridget Parry Media, and upload footage she has taken on our Big Blue Diving Koh Tao YouTube Channel.

Then its out on the boat in the afternoon to grab more footage of the incredible underwater world & and film and photograph our Discover Scuba Divers, before presenting them with a professional portfolio of the days snaps over a beer and a pizza.

Videoing, Photographing, Diving, Beers & Pizzas! The life of a professional at Big Blue Movies. It’s a tough job, but someones got to do it!
